The University of Waterloo announced today the construction of two new buildings and the arrival of Google in its Research and Technology Park.

UW president David Johnston called the news a “tripleheader” that will go a long way to making up for the loss of manufacturing jobs in the region.

Internet search engine giant Google is moving from a small office it has occupied for two years on Dutton Drive in Waterloo into Tech Town in the research park.
